ITAR Compliance/FMF/FMS
Reports to: Sales/Marketing
Manager
Primary Purpose:
This position requires an in-depth understanding of
the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the
Arms Exports Control Act (AECA), the International Traffic
and Arms Regulations (ITAR) an Office of Foreign Assets
Control (OFAC) regulations. The ITAR Specialist will
be responsible for executing KASOTC’s Global Trade
Compliance Practices related to export compliance, including
those with specific emphasis on the ITAR. The ideal
candidate should have a thorough understanding of the
various U.S. regimes and extensive experience in implementing
complex regulatory requirements within the business.
Essential Functions:
- Duties include drafting contracts,
working on licensing, drafting/maintenance of ITAR
applications and training.
- Enhancing and implementing
internal controls
- Developing and delivering
export controls compliance training
- Acting as an internal advisor
to various departments
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to cultivate business
relationship with Sales Manager and Project Manager
Required Education/Experience:
Masters Degree preferred. Minimum five (5)
years of directly related experience in import/export
compliance management. Extensive experience in processing
ITAR export licenses, Technical Assistance Agreements,
and other ITAR authorizations, as well as in identifying
areas of trade compliance risk and compliance audits
and investigations management. Experience in the selection
and use of license exceptions, and development, implementation,
and management of a compliance program, including training,
policies, guidelines and procedures.
